Christmas in Paris Part 3

Get ready for lots of pictures...

Wednesday we got back into tourist mode.  Trevor dropped us downtown and Priscilla, Thomas, Benjamin and I went up the Eiffel Tower.  We meant to go to the very top, but the line from the second viewing platform was incredibly long as well as outside in the cold and wind, so we bagged it and headed back down.  I hope we can try again sometime, preferably in the Spring.

Proof that I was there!

Looking west, toward La Defense, the business district.

The tall building is Tour Montparnasse.

The Eiffel Tower is surprisingly massive.

We met up with Trevor and found our way to a little French restaurant and had some typically French cuisine for lunch- French onion soup and boeuf bourguignon.  It was delicious, and the waiters were very friendly and patient with Benjamin when he woke up from his nap.  We looked inside St. Germain des Prés, a very old church, and then walked along the Boulevard St. Germain.  We passed through the Jardin du Luxembourg which was very pretty, even in winter.  We walked to the Panthéon and checked out the square in front.  Then we sat at McDonalds for a bit while Trevor brought the car around.  It was a long day of walking, but we saw a ton, so it was well worth it.

These doors are gorgeous.

Fun with Aunt Priscilla!

Thanks for bearing with me and loading all those pictures.  We did so much walking and saw much more than we expected, thanks to Priscilla and Trevor, the best tour guides ever!  Next up, the Louvre...

  1. Awwww, I had so much fun pushing Benjamin around those trees by the Pantheon :). It's fun that the little things can be so entertaining (like tunnels!). Miss y'all and love you! Thank you for all of the lovely posts! We'll be downloading the photos for sure :).

    1. I'm so glad we got to visit y'all! Really looking forward to when you can come out to Amman. :-)
